American Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Ambassador Mosbacher to Poland

The American Chamber of Commerce in Poland (AmCham) welcomed Ambassador Georgette Mosbacher to Poland at a reception in her honor at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel on October 16th. AmCham Chairman Tony Housh introduced the Ambassador to 150 AmCham members and guests, and presented her with her AmCham pin to inaugurate her term as Honorary Chair of the AmCham Board of Directors. In her remarks, the Ambassador outlined her priorities for U.S.- Polish relations: growing bilateral trade and investment; maintaining strong people-to-people ties and shared democratic values; strengthening Poland’s energy security; and bolstering Poland’s ties to NATO. The Embassy enjoys a strong, collaborative relationship with AmCham. AmCham is one of the largest international business associations in Poland and represents over 300 companies across a wide range of business sectors, including 80 of the Fortune 500 companies. AmCham estimates that U.S. companies have invested over $43 billion in Poland since 1990 and directly employ over 220,000 people in Poland.
