The U.S. Embassy invites English teachers and educators to participate in a series of free online lectures entitled: “American English Live Webinar Series 8” commencing on May 6, 2020. The series will include 6 online meetings on every other Wednesday at 14:00 or 19:00 until July 15. Teachers who watch them individually will receive a digital badge confirming a successful session’s participation.

Though not mandatory, registration is encouraged. Registered participants will receive email reminders with links to pre-session readings and online discussions.

The American English Webinar and Facebook Live sessions will be hosted by the U.S. Department of State’s Office of English Language Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. These professional development sessions for English teachers around the globe will address methodological topics that foster interactive, student-centered language instruction.

Teachers who attend the group viewings and attend most of the meetings receive a certificate of completion issued by the organizers. They are usually organized by the American Corners and Young Learner Resource Centers in Poland. Please contact the embassy through AmbasadaUSA@state.gov to find out if there are viewing sessions organized in your city.
