On May 12, Ambassador Paul Jones led a ceremony congratulating U.S. Embassy Warsaw’s Marine detachment for earning the 2016 Marine Detachment of the Year Award. This distinction recognizes the team’s excellent performance in several areas including proficiency, physical fitness, morale, community involvement, and off-duty education. Marine Detachment Warsaw achieved this level of sustained performance by maintaining standards and setting the bar for excellence throughout central Europe.
