The Embassy Welcomes a New Member of the Board of the Fulbright Commission

The Embassy is pleased to announce that on January 10, 2020 Ambassador Georgette Mosbacher appointed Mr. Angelo J. Pressello to the Board of Directors of the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission.  Currently CEO and owner of Directpl, a global IT services company, Mr. Pressello’s strong business background will be a great asset as the Fulbright Commission expands efforts to promote science, technology, and innovation.

Mr. Pressello arrived in Poland in 1994 as a Peace Corps Volunteer working as a high school English teacher in a small Polish city. After completing his Peace Corps service, he worked at the US Embassy, Warsaw in the Foreign Commercial Service for three years, during which time he also completed an MBA from a joint program with the University of Minnesota and the Warsaw School of Economics. Mr. Pressello then worked for two years for a British headhunting agency followed by two years in financial sales at a subsidiary of Societe Generale Bank. In January of 2004, Angelo became the Sales Director of software maker Directpl. Angelo transformed the company’s sales results and later that same year he was named CEO. At the close of 2012, Angelo purchased Directpl from the original shareholders and changed the company into an IT services company. Beginning in 2013, Angelo grew the business from nine employees to more than 100 employees with offices in Warsaw, Chicago and Manila. Angelo is also the co-chair of the AmCham’s Digital TECH committee.
