Bombers Arrive for Exercise Ample Strike

Two B-1B Lancer aircraft, one B-52 Stratofortress, and support equipment from bases across the U.S. arrived today at RAF Fairford, U.K.

The B-1s, from the 7th Bomb Wing, Dyess Air Force Base, Tx., and the B-52 from the Air Force Reserve Command 307th Bomb Wing, Barksdale AFB, La., are scheduled to conduct flyovers at the Slovak International Air Fest at Sliač Air Base, Slovakia and the Radom International Air Show at the 42nd Air Training Base, Radom-Sadkow, Poland, from Aug. 26-27.

Following the flyovers, the bomber aircraft are scheduled to participate in exercise Ample Strike 2017 in the Czech Republic, from Aug. 28 to Sept. 9.

The exercise will focus on advanced air and land integration training, as well as strengthening interoperability between NATO ally and partner nations.
