The U.S. Embassy Warsaw press office is issuing the following clarification in response to multiple press inquiries:
We confirm German authorities have not denied U.S. Army transportation requests regarding the movement of U.S. troops and equipment through Germany to Poland for the Anakonda 16 exercises. U.S. Army Europe and German authorities continue to coordinate the movement of U.S. troops along German highways in accordance with the U.S.-German Status of Forces Agreement.
