Demonstration Alert – U. S. Embassy, Warsaw (February 10, 2022)

Event: The Embassy has been informed of a demonstration to take place in front of U.S. Embassy Warsaw on Friday, February 11, 2022, between 1PM and 2PM. The purpose of the demonstration is to protest U.S. and British military presence in Poland as it pertains to the tense relations between Russia and Ukraine. While officials are expecting only a small number of participants and do not expect any violence, U.S. citizens are urged to be cautious and take the following actions:
- Avoid crowds and demonstrations.
- Be aware of your surroundings.
- Keep a low profile.
- Monitor local media for updates.
- Enroll in Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive security updates.
