Draw your Comic Space Odyssey!

This summer, NASA will launch the Mars Rover Perseverance to explore Mars for possible future human habitation.  What do you think it would be like to live on Mars or another planet?  What is out there in other galaxies?  Look at the stars and tell us your space story!

In celebration of NASA’s Mars 2020 mission, the U.S. Mission to Poland and EC1- Łódź City of Culture are delighted to announce the Comic Space Odyssey competition for young people aged 10-18.  Fantastic prizes await the creators of the best comic books, including iPads Pro 9.7, drawing supplies and the chance to meet American comic book artist Shawn Martinbrough, whose work includes ‘Batman: Detective Comics’, ‘Luke Cage Noir’, ‘Captain America’, ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Hellboy’.

2020 is a special year for American space exploration thanks to the launch of the Perseverance Rover, planned on July 30.  The Perseverance will investigate potential life on Mars and its suitability for human habitation, as well as prepare for the future human exploration of the Red Planet.

So get inspired by Perseverance, look up at the stars and tell us your cosmic story in a comic book of up to four 4 pages!  The deadline for entries is October 9, 2020 and the winners will be announced November 14, 2020.  You can find all the details and the application form at https://ec1lodz.pl/node/4367
