The U.S. Embassy in Warsaw and U.S. Consulate General in Kraków cooperate with the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission on promoting study in the United States.  Persons interested in pursuing education in the U.S. should contact the EducationUSA Advising Center at the Fulbright Commission in Warsaw or Reference EducationUSA Centers located at the American Corners in Gdańsk, Radom, Lublin, Katowice and Wrocław.

The Centers have a large collection of up-to-date catalogs and guides, in print and electronic formats, with information on the American system of higher education and the programs of various universities. They include information on the admission process, necessary documentation and fees, and required standardized tests.

In Kraków area, students interested in individual advising sessions can make an appointment with the Educational Advisor at the U.S. Consulate, ul. Stolarska 9, 31-043 Kraków. Please make an appointment at least a week in advance: tel. +48 12 424 5140, email: KrakowEducationUSA@state.gov  Books and publications about studying in the U.S. are available at the U.S. Consulate library.

The EducationUSA Centers make available current, accurate and impartial information on the full range of accredited institutions of higher learning in the U.S. They do not serve as an agent or recruiter for any educational institution. The Centers’ resources include:

  • Application procedures and strategies
  • Profiles of American institutions
  • Areas of study and course descriptions
  • Options for financial assistance
  • Information on standardized tests
