Scott Whitmore, deputy cultural attache, met with young leaders of social projects who took part in the Equal Opportunities Program of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation. Scott Whitmore talked to them, among others, about the US educational system and learning opportunities in the United States.
The program in which young people participated was a week-long training for project leaders implemented in small towns, whose aim was to develop social skills of young people. During the training, they learned how to develop youth groups, guide them and how to implement their own initiatives in the local environment. Participants are young people aged 16-19, ranging from this year’s middle school graduates to this year’s high school graduates. The training was organized by the Polish Children and Youth Foundation.
