Charge d’Affaires B. Bix Aliu hosted 30 newly arrived Fulbright Scholars from the United States who will spend the next academic year in different cities across Poland. These U.S. scholars will teach and conduct research at Polish universities throughout the complete 2021-22 academic year. They will be based at universities in Warszawa, Białystok, Opole, Bydgoszcz, Łódź, Poznań, Gdańsk, Toruń, Koszalin, Kraków, Rzeszów, Lublin and Wrocław. The Scholars will conduct research and scientific programs in such fields as cyber security, medical sciences, neuroscience, computer science, drama and theater, public health, architecture, music and many other areas. On an annual basis, the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission awards approximately 100 Fulbright fellowships, roughly 50 of which go to Polish scholars and 50 to American scholars and English Teaching Assistants. In Poland, Fulbright scholarships are addressed to researchers and students, who want to pursue master or doctoral studies in the USA.
