Back to School: Polish FLEX Students in the U.S. and Applications Now Open for Next Year’s Edition

The U.S. Embassy would like to wish all of our 43 Polish FLEX students a successful year in their American high schools and with their host families as they begin their exchange in the United States.  The students were selected based on their leadership and civic engagement and come from towns across Poland.  They will be staying with host families and attending local high schools from every corner of the United States and check out the map above to see where our current group of students are in the United States.

September 1 is also the official start date of accepting applications for next year’s FLEX program and we encourage those interested in applying to go to:  http://americancouncils.pl/programs/future-leaders-exchange/rekrutacja-2019-2020/ to learn more about the program and requirements.

The FLEX program is the U.S. Embassy’s flagship youth exchange program now in its fourth year and already one of the most popular in the region with over 2800 applications last year.  The U.S. Embassy hopes to see this program continue to expand and offer more Polish youth an opportunity to experience the U.S. firsthand and to return to Poland ready to serve as leaders in their local communities and to further strengthen the close ties shared between Poland and the United States.
