Mission Poland joined the worldwide celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2016 (GEW2016) with several events, including the third iteration of its flagship Polish-American Innovation Bridge (PAMI), hailed by Polish radio station RMF.FM as the “the most interesting conference for startups and new entrepreneurs.”  Consulate Krakow partnered with the Creativity and Innovation Lab Foundation (FLIK), the local Marshal’s Office, and several stakeholders from the Polish innovation and startup community to present the two-day conference at Krakow’s new state-of-the art technology park which drew over 200 young entrepreneurs and students. DCM John Law and the Deputy Chief of Malopolska Province opened the event which featured three experts from the United States:  Fortune TOP 100 Leadership Development Consultant Spencer Penhart, TOP 100 Business Thought Leader John Spence, and technology transfer specialist Laura Schoppe. The guest speakers gave inspiring talks on day one and taught concrete skills like pitching, public speaking, design thinking and technology transfer on day two.  Individuals and groups engaged in mentoring sessions throughout the two days.  In the run-up to the conference, the Consulate also promoted the event with inspiring videos featuring Consul General Walter Braunohler and U.S. experts.
