The U.S. Embassy to Poland is pleased to announce the imminent opening of the exciting outdoor exhibition Tadeusz Kosciuszko – A Man of Vision. Designed by the Museum of Polish History and proudly supported by the US Embassy, the exhibition runs September 10 – 30, 2017 and will be held at the Krakowskie Przedmiescie near the Plac Zamkowy in Warsaw.
Held in the bicentennial year of Kosciuszko’s death, the exhibition will provide visitors an opportunity to learn more about Kosciuszko’s fascinating life, his devotion to the ideal of freedom, and military engineering exploits. For those unable to attend the September 10 opening, the exhibition’s premiere will be made available on the Google Arts & Culture platform at www.wystawy.muzhp.pl.
The Museum of Polish History is also holding educational tours highlighting the 1794 uprising Kosciuszko led against imperial Russia and the Kingdom of Prussia. Please sign up at Oferta.edu@muzhp.pl or phone 22 211 90 49 starting on September 5.
Please come join us to celebrate the life, accomplishments and ideals of Kosciuszko. And come to discover why future US President William Harrison told the US Congress upon Kosciuszko’s death that Kosciuszko’s fame “will last until freedom reigns over the Earth.”
