Daria Tataj is a proud mum of three girls and links family duties with her entrepreneurial passion as a founder of Tataj Innovation, a consultancy for firms, governments and universities. She also serves as a high-level advisor to the EU Commissioner for Research and Innovation, and is an alumna of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council. Following the DoS/FORTUNE mentoring program in 2006, Daria started Vital Voices Poland Chapter. She received a title ‘Creator of Innovation 2014’.
Urszula Nowakowska is a tireless advocate for women’s rights. She is the founder and president of the Warsaw-based Women’s Rights Center, a leading Polish NGO providing assistance to female victims of violence. Celebrating its 22nd anniversary in 2016, the Women’s Rights Center combats gender-based violence and discrimination by providing female victims safe shelter and access to legal, psychological, social, and vocational counseling. The organization runs a counseling center in Warsaw and has several branch offices around the country. Every year, several thousand women benefit from the center’s services.
Dr. Anna Łosiak is a planetary geologist, studying extraterrestrial objects of the Solar System and consequences of their impact with the Earth. Her M.A. thesis at Michigan State University focused on meteoritics (written thanks to Fulbright scholarship); she took the renowned internship at the Lunar Planetary Insitute (NASA research facility), and wrote Ph. D. dissertation at Universität Wien; quite recently, as a faculty member of the Institute of Geological Studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences, she was granted a Maria Sklodowska-Curie prestigious research scholarship. In her research work she focuses on the analysis of the environs of Martian north pole and impact craters on the Earth.
Kinga Stanislawska is the co-Founder of Experior Venture Fund (EVF), the leading Polish Venture Capital fund and the only VC fund in Europe which is founded by women. On a day to day basis she is responsible for Fund’s operations, including deal sourcing, value creation and mentoring in investments, supervision of exits from investments, obtaining debt financing for portfolio companies as well as for relations with the Fund’s 29 investors. Kinga is the Vice President of the Polish Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and is a member of the European Innovation Council – High Level Group working with European Commissioner Carlos Moedas, she also is active in supporting women led companies – Kinga is a mentor in Vital Voices and Foundation for Women Entrepreneurship.
Dr. Krystyna Malinska is a researcher and an academic lecturer at the Faculty of Infrastructure and Environment at Częstochowa University of Technology and vice-president of Top 500 Innovators Association. Her passion is scientific and research work. She tries to combine her professional activities with initiatives promoting academic communities and cooperation between science and business. She likes to meet inspiring people, discover new places and play squash.
Dr. Bianka Siwinska’s passion is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) support for women. Ten years ago, she came up with the program “Girls to Technical Schools,” with 100,000 female participants so far. Female students who choose technical studies and exact sciences can benefit from a wide range of programs she created to inspire them and help them spread their wings. The initiatives include programs such as: “IT for SHE,” “Lean in STEM,” “Girls go start-up! Academy,” and “New technologies for girls” scholarships.
Iwona Georgijew holds the position of Tax Partner leading Deloitte’s Transfer Pricing Service Line in Poland and Central Europe. She is a non-governmental member of the EU Joint Transfer Pricing Forum. Iwona is regularly recognized as leading transfer pricing advisor by respective industry rankings.
