U.S. Consul General Walter Braunohler and Public Affairs Counselor Frank Finver Participate in the 30th March of the Living

The U.S. Consul General Walter Braunohler and Public Affairs Counselor Frank Finver participated today in the International March of the Living from Auschwitz to Birkenau.  This year is the 30th anniversary of the International March of the Living attended by people from around the world who come to Poland to study the history of the Holocaust, to pay tribute to those who perished and to honor the survivors.  Since its inception in 1988, more than 260,000 people from 52 countries have marched down the same three-kilometer path leading from Auschwitz to Birkenau on Holocaust Remembrance Day – Yom Hashoah – to pay solemn tribute to all victims of the Holocaust.  The Presidents of Poland and Israel marched together in this year’s March of the Living in Poland.
