NATO Military Chiefs of Defense to Meet in Warsaw

NATO’s highest Military Authority, the Military Committee, will meet from September 28-30, 2018, in Warsaw, Poland. The meeting will be hosted by the Chief of the Polish General Staff, Lieutenant General Rajmund Andrzejczak.

The NATO Military Committee Conference enables the Chiefs of Defense to meet and discuss issues of importance to the Alliance. They will cover topics including Readiness, Responsiveness and Modernization as well as provide recommendations for future NATO operations, exercises and activities including closer cooperation with International Organizations. They will also elect the next Director General of the International Military Staff, who will take office in 2019.

The Military Committee Conference is led by Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.  He will be supported in each session by General Curtis M. Scaparrotti (Supreme Allied Commander Europe or SACEUR) and General André Lanata (Supreme Allied Commander Transformation or SACT).
