On June 7, Polish NBA star Marcin Gortat visited the U.S. Embassy as part of the Embassy’s partnership with Marcin and his MG13 Foundation promoting youth development in sports and leadership within the Embassy’s Sports UP initiative. Arranged by PAS, Gortat first met with the Embassy’s team that runs the “Amerikawa” podcast with whom he discussed his time living in the United States, his volunteer work, and his views on American life. Following the podcast Gortat met with Embassy staff, taking time to give autographs, pose for pictures, and talked to Embassy community about camps his foundation organizes each year and which Embassy has the pleasure to support.
