Night at the Museum: United States in the 1950s and 1960s

U.S. Embassy Warsaw’s American Center in Warsaw invites you to experience the United States in the 1950s and 1960s during their “American Night” on Saturday, May 20, from 19:00 – 24:00 at Dom Spotkań z Historią.  The event will include film screenings, workshops, lectures, and discussions focused on various U.S. icons, as well as important social and moral changes at the time.  Visitors can enjoy popcorn while viewing 1960s U.S. commercials and documentaries, as well as participate in a raffle and swing dance workshops. There will be activities for children and guests of all ages will delight in sampling American diner food, such as milkshakes, root beer, and cherry pie.  This year’s Night of the Museum is based on the exhibition “American Visionary: John F. Kennedy’s Life and Times,” which features select photographs of President Kennedy’s extraordinary life.  The photo exhibit can be viewed until June 18, 2017. For full schedule please click here.
