As part of its continuing, nationwide 100 Lat Razem (100 Years Together) initiative to honor Poland’s rebirth in 1918 and American support, the Embassy is sponsoring the Paderewski Birthday Concert to be held at 3:00 pm on November 18 at the Muzeum Wnętrz in Otwock Wielki. Thanks to the Otwock Wielki branch of the National Museum of Warsaw, the concert will feature performances by viola musician Marek Bugajski and two pianists – Joanna Maklakiewicz and Mischa Kozłowski – playing on the historic Steinway piano that Jan Ignacy Paderewski once owned. Vocalists will include the soprano Bogumiła Dziel-Wawrowska and the tenor Krzystof Ciupiński-Świątek. The concert is part of a creative artistic program by the Piotr Janowski Foundation and Teatr Ateneum that the Embassy is supporting to tell the history of Polish-American diplomatic relations through the figure and work of Jan Ignacy Paderwski, the Polish statesman, composer and world-famous virtuoso pianist. The Embassy is proud to partner with the Piotr Janowski Foundation and Teatr Ateneum on this and related events. Admission to the November 18 concert is free of charge, and the address of the Muzeum Wnętrz in Otwock Wielki is ul. Zamkowa 49, Karczew. Guests can register their attendance at www.facebook.com/paderewski3X100. Here is to 100 Lat Razem between Poland and the United States for the next 100 years!
