The Judo Academy Sports Club from Poznań is the organizer of the Brother Olympic Camp, an annual event for judo players of junior and senior groups. The event gathers judo competitors from all over Poland, children and adults, as well as coaching staff, for trainings conducted by the Olympic medalist. This year’s edition of the camp will be held in Luboń between 17-19 April 2019, and the invited person is an American player Jimmy Pedro (two-time Olympic medalist and trainer of four Olympic medalists).
The Judo Academy Sports Club is one of the largest judo clubs in Poland operating since 2009. The club’s trainees are the youth medalists of the Polish Championships and the Polish Senior Champion Eliza Wróblewska. The club participates in official national competitions in all age categories and in international competitions of the European Cup and Grand Prix rank.
In previous editions of the Olympic Camp in Poland, there were such judo stars as a contestant from Israel Jarden Gerbi (bronze medalist in Rio de Janeiro and World Champion from 2013) and American Travis Stevens (silver medalist from the Rio Olympic Games).
The Embassy has partnered with the club for this year’s edition of the Brother Olympic Camp – the Olympic Stars.
