On May 25-28 four hundred Polish scouts from all around Poland met in Małecz for a scouting camp. During the event the scouts had an opportunity to learn more about American scouting culture in the United States before their departure to West Virginia for 24th World Scout Jamboree. One of Embassy diplomats Geoffrey Petersen and his sons attended the event in Małecz where Geoffrey talked to the scouts about scouting culture and life in the U.S. and about his work as a diplomat in Poland. Embassy has been supporting Związek Harcestwa Polskiego for two years now. The World Scouts Jamboree will gather around 50 thousand scouts from all over the world.
