Secretary Tillerson’s Visit to the Warsaw Ghetto Heroes Monument on International Holocaust Remembrance Day

On January 27, 2018 U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will lay a wreath at the Warsaw Ghetto Heroes Monument, which is a memorial to the 1943 Jewish Ghetto Uprising.  January 27 marks the commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 73rd anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi extermination camp. The Secretary will be accompanied by leaders of Poland’s Jewish community and members of his delegation.

Event:  Laying of wreath at the Warsaw Ghetto Heroes Monument followed by a prayer by a Warsaw Jewish Community leader and brief remarks by the Secretary.
