ANNOUNCEMENT:  Beginning March 27th, 2022, U.S. Embassy Warsaw and Consulate General Krakow will begin accepting online fee payments for adult U.S. passport renewal applications.  Paying online allows you to mail your application to the U.S. Embassy without the need to apply in person.  Please see our Passport Renewal webpage to determine if you are eligible for online fee payment.

U.S. citizens residing or traveling abroad who require a U.S. passport are issued the latest state-of-the-art passports that incorporate photo-digitized images and other enhanced security features.  These passports are produced at a domestic U.S. passport facility.  U.S. citizens are encouraged to apply early for renewal of expiring passports.

Reminder for Dual National U.S. Citizens:  U.S. law requires all U.S. citizens, including dual-national citizens, to enter the United States using their U.S. passport. We urge all U.S. citizens to keep their U.S. passports current.

The ACS units at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw, the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow, and the U.S. Consular Agency in Poznan offer a range of services to citizens of the United States who are living or traveling in Poland.

Emergencies:

WARSAW: In case of an emergency, you may contact the ACS unit directly during normal working hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) at +48 22 504 2784. Outside of normal working hours, please call +48 22 504 2000 and ask to speak to the Embassy Duty Officer. The duty officer is available only for emergencies regarding a U.S. citizen.  After hours assistance by the Embassy is limited.

KRAKOW: If you are an American citizen with an after-hours emergency, you may call the Krakow Duty Officer for assistance at +48 601 483 348. The duty officer is available only for emergencies regarding a U.S. citizen.  After hours assistance by the Consulate is limited.
