March 21, 2016 — U.S. Department of Commerce Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) Michael Lally arrived in Warsaw on March 20. He will be in Poland until March 23 formeetings with his Polish Government counterparts. The visit illustrates the United States’ commitment to growing the U.S.-Poland economic and commercial relationship.
During the visit, DAS Lally will meet with officials from the State Secretary for Economic Development office to hold an expert’s session of the U.S.-Poland Economic and Commercial Dialogue, an informal bilateral exchange dialogue established in 2002, intended to explore joint tangible activities for deepening the commercial ties between Poland and the United States. In addition to meetings with government officials, DAS Lally will advocate for U.S. companies bidding on projects in Poland’s Defense Modernization Plans, discuss stronger bilateral engagement on common TTIP goals, and meet with Polish companies that are interested in doing business in the United States.
