The Embassy once again proudly supported the vibrant Polish-American music project URBANATOR DAYS, a unique opportunity for Poland’s artistically talented youth to unveil their musical skills on stage with top professional jazz musicians from Poland, Europe and the United States. Thanks to URBANATOR DAYS 2018, a project led by Poland’s world-renowned jazz musician Michał Urbaniak, Polish youth in Łódż and Warsaw had a unique opportunity to learn from and work alongside American and European artists such as Michael “Patches” Stewart, Al Mac Dowell, Richie Harrison and Mario Forte.
The URBANATOR DAYS 2018 program included four days of activities in Łódż and Warsaw. They included a workshop and meet-the-artists session on September 25 at the Łódzki Dom Kultury, followed by a concert and jam session on September 26 at the Wytwórnia Club. In Warsaw the program included workshops with youth on September 27 followed by the grand finale outdoor concert on September 28 at the beautiful Park Sowińskiego. Talented youth selected from the workshop participants got to perform on stage and then jam with Michal Urbaniak’s URBANATOR band and internationally acclaimed jazz musicians.
